Monica Newhouse Rodriguez
Commissioner
Monica Newhouse-Rodriguez was appointed to the Ports of Indiana Commission by Governor Eric J. Holcomb in September 2017. Newhouse-Rodriguez has over 20 years of experience in both the private and public transportation sectors. She is the managing principal of Newhouse and Associates, a national airport consulting firm that provides airport planning, capital management, and development services.
She currently manages transportation and planning issues for the Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport, George Bush Intercontinental Airport, and Miami International Airport. She has previously worked with the Sacramento County Airport System, the Houston Airport System, Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport, and the San Diego International Airport.
Newhouse-Rodriguez received her bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering from Middle Tennessee State University and her MBA in Information Decision Sciences from the University of Illinois at Chicago. She is on the Board of Directors of World Business Partners and Associates for Airports Council International–North America, the primary trade association for airports in the U.S. and Canada, and one of five worldwide regions.
Monica has extensive knowledge of federal and local agency coordination services, capital planning and programming, airport master planning, and environmental planning.
