INDIANAPOLIS – Political analyst, commentator and humorist Stuart Rothenberg will break down the national election and why the vote went the way it did during the keynote luncheon at the 2016 Indiana Logistics Summit in the Indiana Convention Center, Nov. 17. A weekly columnist for the Washington Post’s “Power Post,” Rothenberg is the founding editor and publisher of the Rothenberg & Gonzales Political Report, known for its nonpartisan and insightful analysis of all levels of the American elections.

“The Indiana Logistics Summit always features top presenters with timely, relevant and interesting subject matters or perspectives,” said Ports of Indiana CEO Rich Cooper. “Stuart Rothenberg is one of Washington’s most highly respected political handicappers and his post-election presentation will help us understand the 2016 election’s impacts on policy, our economy and future elections.”

Rothenberg previously served as a columnist for over two decades for Capitol Hill’s Roll Call, and his op-eds have appeared in the Wall Street Journal, the New York Times, and other newspapers. A much-recognized soundbite, his political expertise has made him a frequent guest on the network television news circuit, where he has appeared on Meet the Press, TODAY, This Week, Face the Nation, Nightline, and The McLaughlin Group. He was a regular contributor during the election cycles to PBS NewsHour, and served as a political analyst for CBS News. Before that, he served as a CNN political analyst for more than 10 years, which included extensive on-air election night analysis. He has also served as a political analyst for the Voice of America.

Now in its 14th year, the Summit will also include two other keynote speakers and presentations by executives from the U.S. Maritime Administration, U.S. Department of Commerce, Federal Aviation Administration, Celadon, Norfolk Southern, Indiana Department of Transportation, IU Health and more. The event, co-hosted by Ports of Indiana, Purdue University and Conexus Indiana, brings together more than 300 industry leaders to hear regional and national experts discuss key issues affecting the logistics industry.
