Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for Overhead Crane Replacement, Contract MV-1803-C at the Port of Indiana-Mount Vernon, Posey County, Ind., will be received at the office of the Port of Indiana-Mount Vernon, 2751 Bluff Road, Mount Vernon, Ind., 47620, from bidders until 2:00 p.m., Central Time on February 12, 2019, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the conference room of the port administration building.

The project scope of work includes replacement of an existing 60-ton capacity overhead gantry crane located at the Transit Shed at Port of Indiana-Mount Vernon. The scope includes removal of the existing crane, furnishing and install of new crane, and all incidental work including electrical. The structural work including craneway is not part of this project. All work proposed is to be constructed at the Port of Indiana-Mount Vernon.

Bids shall be submitted on the proper form and delivered in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidders as described in the Instructions to Bidders, which accompanies the Project Specifications. A Bidder’s Bond payable to the PORTS OF INDIANA must be enclosed with the bid. Said bond shall be in the minimum amount of five percent of the maximum bid.

The contract for this work shall be awarded or rejected as soon as possible, but in no case later than 60 calendar days from the date of opening bids, unless the 60th day shall fall on Saturday, Sunday or a legal holiday, in which event said time shall be extended to the next working day. The Ports of Indiana reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
