Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for Berth 16, Sheet Pile Repairs, Contract 26222-C2 at the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor, Porter County, Ind., will be received at the office of the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor, 6625 S. Boundary Road, Portage, Ind., 46368, from bidders until 2:00 p.m., Central Time on February 6, 2018, at which time the bids will be publicly opened and read aloud in the conference room of the port administration building.

The project scope of work includes underwater repairs to two pairs of sheet piling that have experienced interlock separation, with both pairs located on Berth 16, West Harbor Arm. All work proposed is to be constructed at the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor.

Bids shall be submitted on the proper form and delivered in sealed envelopes bearing the name and address of the bidders as described in the Instructions to Bidders, which accompanies the Project Specifications. A Bidder’s Bond payable to the PORTS OF INDIANA must be enclosed with the bid. Said bond shall be in the minimum amount of five percent of the maximum bid.

The contract for this work shall be awarded or rejected as soon as possible but in no case later than 60 calendar days from the date of opening bids unless the 60th day shall fall on Saturday, Sunday or a legal holiday in which event said time shall be extended to the next working day. The Ports of Indiana reserves the right to reject any and all bids.

Project Specifications will be available to contractors on and after January 16, 2018, at the Port of Indiana-Burns Harbor. A charge of $25.00 will be made for Project Plans and Specifications in PDF format. Hard copies of the project Plans and Specifications are also available for $100.00 or in PDF format on a CD for $50.00. CHARGES ARE NONREFUNDABLE AND CHECKS OR MONEY ORDERS ONLY WILL BE ACCEPTED MADE PAYABLE TO THE PORTS OF INDIANA.
