Ports of Indiana Commission
The Ports of Indiana Commission is a seven member, bipartisan board appointed by the governor
to serve as the board of directors for the Ports of Indiana.
Commission Basics
- Commissioners serve staggered 4-year terms.
- No more than four members can be from the same political party.
- Commissioners must be residents of Indiana.
- The Commission elects from its membership a Chairman and Vice Chairman.
- A Secretary/Treasurer can be elected from its membership or be an appointment from outside the Commission.
